walking illuminations

this piece is called walking illuminations. it came about from a conversation that i had with my good friend, chris, about sunsets. we talked about how we both love when the sun is so low and vivid that the trees are jet black giving the appearance of a silhouette. then i started thinking about the concept of contrast and how the world is full of them. like in the fall, the bark actually turns darker so that the bright leaves will stand out more. in the spiritual realm, there also is contrast between people that know Jesus and people that don't walk with him. there is an inner glow that those people possess, making them stand out in a world full of darkness...
